The only way to fix it is accept the discomfort that comes with looking into other people's eyes. You force it and expose yourself to it over time. How e as that'll be will depend on the reason(s) you don't like eye contact. If you're an autist, it's because it's sensory overload, makes it hard to focus on what's being said to you because you're too busy maintaining the performance of being a human.
For me I got adhd so I genuinely hate eye contact not because of social exhaustion or anxiety but I genuinely don't like anything that forces me to control my focus. I don't like the fact I have to pay someone's eyes prolonged attention, it feels constrictive and tedious. My eyes want to freely look everywhere. Fuckin normies and their weird ass rules of doing things, man. Is what it is.
