I think I accidently pushed a door with a restricted access and an alarm (didn't go trought) , and that's they bothered to check the unis cameras. I rolled trough my uni's campus multiple times at night before and never had anyone say anything (because there wasn't anybody).

There was a weird door with an alarm on it but no warning, that they honestly could have just locked instead.

Mee too bro, even did acid drops from tables in lecture halls, it was nice. I mostly do it to piss of those fancypants business majors. There was also this stair set which i tried to ollie down, succeeded maybe like twice and ate sht like 100 times, nobody said anything about it though.
Don't skate around other people, but if you see empty benches or concrete slabs on campus, bring some wax, nobody is using them anyways.

I can't speak for that guy specifically but I've had similar interactions. I don't care if you break rules as long as its not on my watch and it's not a legitimate issue like robbing a place. In this case his idea is probably something like "Just let me walk away so I don't have to turn back around and keep bothering you if you do it while I'm present"
Don't worry about the cameras, cops hardly even show up for stuff as innocent as that

Skateboarders tag stuff sometimes, but broken glass is taboo, that stuff is very hard to clean up and many of us have had encounters where we fell on it becuase it gets under wheels and we go flying forwards. Knocking down stuff, only if it's in good faith.
Skaters are usually the most helpful bunch over there, and are way more social/empathic than normies. What's funny is that nowadays being asocial is the norm, but skaters are usually very friendly, some are social, some anti-social, but nover asocial.
So yeah, if you like interracting with randos, they'll be your friends for no reason, if you don't like getting bothered you'll hate skaters.
Also from my own experience, when i see a girl i skate at a 300% effort, and try my harderst to mog other males in the area, but this is just me.
