What's it like to be a man in a relationship with a woman who is 7 years older than you? In this case, 23 and 30.

I've only ever dated women who were, coincidentally, within a 2-month age window from myself.

I'm 34, my wife is 19. We had our first baby in April. It's my favorite relationship, Ive near always dated 18-20 year olds since I was 16ish.
Everything is new and exciting to her, so we're always trying new things. She's not jaded, and has thrown herself into making this a lifetime relationship.
My worst relationship was when I was 21ish with a 26 year old. It felt like she waa grooming me to be her caretaker, "this is how you earn money and be successful", "I want you to make this much money by this age"

My wife just wants to experience life with me, it doesnt matter if something isnt new to me.

I think what matters most is that you're at roughly the same life stage. I'm dating a 21 year old as a 27 year old PhD student, but I probably wouldn't be doing that as a 27 year old divorcee who owns a house.

This is definitely the biggest difference between "older" women and 18-20 year olds, but I think it might just be who millennial women have been raised to be. Gen X women are kinder and more fun than women my age, and although some zoomer women look at me with disgust if I interact with them at all, most of them seem thrilled to have any kind of in person social contact with someone that isn't socially inept.
Also, zoomer women don't seem as attached to their phones as Millennial women. I can only imagine that because they've had access to the internet their entire lives, zoomers care more about being present irl, while millennial women are obsessed with doomscrolling.
Zoomers are on their phones when they have nothing better to do, but millennial women get upset if their attention is taken away from their phones for any reason.

Regardless of gender, the older participant typically reports being happier than average, and the younger unhappier than average.
