Calm your nerves, figure out why you are nervous. Accept that you do not need to prove yourself. Be honest about your inadequacies. Approach interactions with honesty and humility. You are not mr perfect, do not pretend to be. If someone mocks your shortcomings, that's on them. A 5/10 girl today tried to approach me and cracked her voice when she tried to say "hi", we just went away after that. I have not responded to her since i've sworn not to talk to young women for a year. Leave your ego at the door and communicate. Listen to her and be honest and clear with your boundaries. If something makes you uncomfortable, let her know and let her know that you'll try anyway, for her. Honesty and clarity is everything

I know a guy who can smell emotions. My cousin and best friend. I am practically his stepsister, his parents adopted me when I was young.

Just asked him if he can still sense emotions with a stuffed nose.
He said the skin between his nose and lower eyelids let him know what has been going on. Who is happy, who is angry, who is sad. Like different grades of sandpaper were pressed on his face. All make a tingly sensation, but all are different, and anger he can feel at the back of his neck too. But without ability to inhale trough the nose, its not as accurate.
