>be me, aro/ace guy
>start talking to a girl that i met through a close friend of mine
>were really similar and both pretty weird
>fast forward a little
>we're best friends
>after a little bit, she tells me that shes into me
>i genuinely just want to be close to her, be her friend and be there for her and not date
>i say something like "uh- im not saying anything, but i want to wait... you know"
>she understands me and we keep being best friends like before, but she sometimes says stuff about being together and i have no clue if the stuff i say comes off as me being into her too
What do i do? I genuinely have no clue, shes like the perfect person, but i dont want to date her, i just wanna hang out with her and just... be. Its working but im just really unsure and i dont want to break her heart or something...

That's basically dating man, spending time with someone and just being yourselves. If they accept that you're not a sexual person that should be enough for them. Even then, maybe you're demi and can find some satisfaction in a sexual relationship with someone you feel a deep connection with.

Regardless you should be honest and forthcoming about your feelings on the matter, nobody deserves to be lead on and have their heart broken.

Kinda fair but i honestly prefer being friends than dating BY FAR and i totally will talk more openly about it, but i feel like getting in a relationship would be kinda shit if it doesnt work out, because you pretty much lose touch with the person. But at the same time, if the person just likes me, then what can i do. Ive heard of queerplatonic relationships and that honestly sounds like something i wanna be a part of in the future but i genuinely wanna wait before anything. Im not really ready in any way.

What is the difference between dating and just staying friends with this person?
Like why not just tell them you don't do romantic stuff. It's clear they know that already. So just go with the flow. Maybe you unlock a new level of the relationship you never knew was possible.

You need to be straight up and stop being a pussy. My ex pulled the same shit and the hassle this behavior puts someone through by not being honest is insane

You have to tell her the truth or what are your long term plans
