I feel like I've hit a brick wall with trying to improve my social skills. I am better at making small talk with people now but I still can't forge connections or be natural with people. It is starting to get hard going outside because all I see are couples and girls who would never want to spend time with me because of how weird I am and how I can't be charming and appealing in how I speak. It's hard not to be discouraged because I know I'm playing catchup with all the guys who never had to "try" to be good at socializing.
How do I break through the wall and keep improving? And is it even possible if I do?

You'll always be weird to some extent. Just find other weird people, and also lower your standards if you can.

How do I do that? Also won't I still lose to normal guys even with other shy and quiet girls?
