I hate the modern world so much. I hate how everything looks, I hate how everything is produced by the same 50 giant companies, I hate the overdependence on technology and how post-modern everything is.

I hate how everyone is just a stereotype with no individuality and repeat the same rhetoric and stock lines and opinions. I hate the media, I hate the fashion, I hate how shit the political climate is. I hate how my country is going down the shitter. I fucking hate the culture today.
This decade has no redeeming qualities and it looks like it's just continuing on a steep decline down.

How do I cope with the fact that I'm a zoomer living amongst other retarded zoomers? I so desperately wish I was born in the 90's or 80's. Millennials had it so fucking good, the fact I will never get to live that kills me.

What am I meant to do? Accept the inferiority of the world today and try to go with it? It's not like I can go back in time. Every time I go outside I'm so immensely disappointed in what I see.

Don't worry, Netflix will release a Netflix Original regarding your feelings on the modern world and how you can overcome our corporate elites. Thankfully, Netflix offers a budget-friendly package of only $7.99, with advertisements.

Being a millenial or GenX just means having witnessed the very tail end of the world before all that, if you have this disposition you'd only be more bitter for having had to watch it die.

Meh. Millennial here. I don't think it's that different desu, we all see the world has gone to shit. Swapping a generation won't change that.

>I wish I was a Roman

>I hate the medieval world so much. I hate how everything looks, I hate how everything is produced by the same feudal lords and guilds, I hate the overdependence on superstition and how barbaric everything is.

>I hate how everyone is just a serf with no learning and repeat the same scripture and sermons and unthinking devotions. I hate the chronicles, I hate the vestments, I hate how schismatic the ecclesiastical climate is. I hate how my continent is coming down with plagues. I fucking hate the culture today.
>This era has no redeeming qualities and it looks like it's just continuing on a steep decline down.

>How do I cope with the fact that I'm a humanist living amongst other illiterate barbarians? I so desperately wish I was born in the age of Virgil and Cicero. Romans had it so fucking good, the fact I will never get to live that kills me.

>What am I meant to do? Accept the inferiority of the Dark Ages and try to go with it? It's not like I can go back in time. Every time I go outside I'm so immensely disappointed in what I see.

Why do you wish you were a millenial? The world sucks just as much for us. We can never return to earlier times when things were better, so if anything you'd likely be suffering more.

millennials felt like this about romanticized eras before them, your generation is kinda retarded but that's because humans are retarded, especially young humans

It just seems like the last notable point in time that things were somewhat good. The internet was still a wild west of different websites, sites like YouTube weren't hyper-commercialised. You go to a store or a restaurant and you actually have to talk to someone, not just tap a screen or scan a QR code. Advertisements weren't a bunch of hyper-realistic flashing images with some loud annoying song. It feels like the modern world is just built around infatilising people and catering toward their most basic primal retard desires, like "Here, watch the new Netflix slop while we advertise McDonald's to you with blaring music, whilst we charge you for your 7 different OnlyFans subscriptions". Everyone has the exact same opinions and repeats the same fucking one-liners from memes on instagram and twitter, like a robot.

I realise it's inherently based in nostalgia and I only feel like this because I sort of half caught the tail end of that era during my early childhood. Like how my parents feel nostalgic for the 70's despite being super young during that period. I know I'm literally doing the "defener" meme, but I can't help but feel this way.

It was sick, but the nostalgia hurts like hell. In this scenario, do you rewind and re-live your entire life as a millenial, or in your mind would it have already passed and you just wake up tomorrow as one?
