A boomer on my route today told me "don't be bashful" after offering me a bottle of water
How do I not be bashful? To me it seems wise to minimize my presence. I've always thought women preferred it too.

Also I should have posted a James bond pic, that dude is understated and yet assured. That's my aim.

Being described as bashful over reserved or some other word indicates you come across as insecure/nervous/anxious
Being a person who keeps things lowkey is fine, but if you people view you as bashful you need to reexamine how you act and how you speak

I came in fast to get the signature, he offered me a water and I was very thankful. I wanted to respond graciously. He showed me water in the freezer and I figured it would thaw out quickly enough so I accepted right away. Then he opened the fridge and said "or... you could take one of these... help yourself... don't be so bashful"
