When my wife talk to our 1 year old child (she does that stupid voice) my blood pressure rises, and I have evil thoughts in my head (like really evil) and I get angry. Today, I had to leave the house because I felt like I was on the verge of a panic attack, I get that she’s busy but I’ve told her to stop talking like that and she doesn’t listen to me, plus everytime I want to do something or want her to do something she’s always giving the kid as an excuse. 4 nights ago he vomit and I ask her for a “massage” and she said she was exhausted and that’s it. She’s like ignoring me

Obviously you wish she would talk to you like that. Talking in a cute voice is very comforting for babies because of the tone, and adults still get an intimate effect from baby talk. It's like you watching her flirting with another guy, you would also get instant pissed.

I would really find it weird if she talked to me like that. I don’t think that’s what I want. I would know

I don't think something is wrong with you, I think people would be surprised how normal it is for parents to feel jealous about their children. I used to talk all cutesy to my wife when we were dating, I'd treat her like a kid and pick her up and cuddle her constantly and pat her on the head and sit her on my lap and what not, and she mostly liked it.

Well we have a 2 year old daughter and I treat her the same way and my wife clearly gets jealous sometimes. She knows she shouldn't, so she tries to hide it, but having spent so much time with her it's pretty obvious - she gets pouty, or cold, or just visibly annoyed in other ways.

My wife is really smart, she's an engineer at a big tech company and has a great social life with friends she's known for over a decade and is basically the definition of a normie. So if she's getting jealous I'd say it's pretty normal

BUT IM NOT A NORMIE. My wife was pursuing an engineering degree and I convinced her to quit at 20 and be a house wife KEK
