I want to be in a permanent state of disconnected calm. I think the himalayan monks were onto something after all. Late at night, laying on your bed, smoking a cigarette, feeling disconnected from your life, the world, and your own and everybody else's problems.
That is not what they think
>>33316358Well i that's how i want to exist. Just drifting through life, not necessarily even doing anything just laying down and disconnecting from everything and observing nature and people and the passage of time
>>33316423If it was that simple i would do it. The only time i can get into this state is when my environment matches my mentality, late at night when everything is still, not even trees swaying in the wind and only then can i truly just exist. Most of the time i'm distracted by something in my environment which blocks the clarity
>>33316501Your mention of monks is a clue to the solution. Attention is the keyword. The solution might be to train your attention instead of trying to find a suitable environment.
>>33316351 (OP)I want to be as calm and professional as the TNG crew.
