I put a lot of effort into myself--makeup, cool clothes and all but because of my awkwardness and interests, all the males my age think I'm weird and never approach me
in the rare occurrence I try to approach them, nothing comes out of it

I've given up on dating, at least with men my age. I might consider dating up (5 years older at least) but I worry about being taken advantage of or just being deemed immature.

I'm in the same place as op so I don't really have any useful advice. I get extremely nervous around the man I like, to the point I've started dreading being around him, but last week we had a fun moment talking about a weird interest I have. I guess you just need to give people enough time and effort and eventually you will find someone you can be weird with.

Are you guys fat or disfigured? could be boys just don't know how to talk to you otherwise. also boys don't really like any makeup unless it is black stuff around your eyes, or red. cool colors make you look sick.

Are you guys fat or disfigured? It could be that boys just don't know how to talk to you. Also, boys don't really like makeup unless it is black stuff around your eyes that makes them pop or warm colors, especially red, which signals health and lust. Blue-green colors make you look sick.

I wouldn't call myself fat or "disfigured"
I do makeup that is more on the "gothic" side so I only use black around my eyes, not any other color
