>>33327485In the last days, the hearts of many shall grow cold. The world, in its glitter and excess, will stretch out its hand, beckoning even the covenant people to stray. As prophesied in scripture, there will be a great sifting: a division not of tribes or nations, but of the faithful from the faithless. Many who once walked the covenant path will begin to fall away, seduced by the ways of the world. They will trade the holy for the hollow. The adversary will wrap temptation in beauty, masking destruction in pleasure. The pursuit of women, of alcohol, of partying, and of vain ambition will seem harmless at first, perhaps even celebrated. The standards that once distinguished Zion from Babylon will blur for many. "Eat, drink, and be merry," they will say, "for tomorrow we die." But even as the majority turns their faces from the light, a small remnant will remain. They will not be perfect, but they will be faithful. These are they who will cling to the iron rod when others let go. They will raise families in righteousness, even when mocked. They will forsake worldly praise for eternal promise. Their eyes will remain fixed on the temple, their ears tuned to the voice of living prophets. While others forget their covenants, they will renew theirs: week by week, quietly and humbly. They will be few, but they will be mighty through Christ. This remnant will not escape tribulation, but they will endure it. They will weep for those who wander and pray for those who mock them. They will be misunderstood, misrepresented, and at times maligned; but they will not fall. Their foundation is the Rock of their Redeemer. And when the Lord returns, as He surely will, He will gather His faithful. Not the loud, not the popular, not those who chased the world: but those who remained true when it was hardest to do so. The remnant shall remain.
