What are the realistic risks as a Canadian visiting the USA for one weekend if I am white, English speaking, have a passport, and plan on getting a travel visa at the border?
I'm hearing nothing but horror stories

My boyfriend from Canada was visiting me (in the south) for a week last month and he didn't have any trouble at the border.

I mean it depends on where you visit. It'll probably go fine, but there's nothing to do down here anyways. I live really close to the border and half the people around here are Canadians.
