All i want is to open a simple, mostly self sustaining laundry with perhaps a pinball or an arcade machine on the side as a family business my possible future kids can get early work experience in and of course, legacy inheritance.
Also, use this money to both sustain myself and also, let me focus on gaining money and money thru my passion, art and digital goods.

However, while i am middle upper class, parents are making me go thru an annoying masters in business management first. Rotting away more and more of my 20s on that and just doing whatever nonsense they teachers want me to do.

Kinda am just conflicted and annoyed. Wish i could just get the money now and just get the darn thing started and learn on the go.

Pic Unrelated for attention

start a business right now

one time i was an inspired young entrepreneur and i saw a black lady speak about being a broke entrepreneur and she said "if you can't do a lot with a little, how will you ever know what to do with a lot?"

your parents would probably not make you go to gayllege (that's what i call college, it's a portmanteau of gay and college) if you can prove that you already know and can apply the fundamentals of business

but if you have never started a business and don't even know how maybe you do need a learndaddy (that's what i call the lecturers at galledge (remember that's what i call college)) to get you started

What's the rush? You've got 60 years to go. Maybe more if weve reached longevity escape velocity (look that one up).
1 in 5 businesses fail. Not saying don't try, absolutely you should. But, an MBA isnt bad to have.

I do have roughly 16k in savings, so perhaps i should look for cheap or abandoned places nearby residential areas to just start my lil stupid laundry already.

I dont want to be employed under anyone, man. It scares me to hell.

maybe try managing a vending machine or two which is basically a miniature version of your dream before you throw a 16k hail mary (that's what i call a ridiculous punt when i am trying to be supportive)

I don't know about where you are, but in my part of the world vending machine routes are controlled by big brawny gentlemen of the Italian persuasion who have ways of persuading you not to compete.

Keep in mind that this is a business for those who live in low income housing. If you set up in an area with the bad kind of low income people, expect your shit to get constantly broken into and destroyed.

any other business you consider to be very low maintenance? Just a strong investment first then just... wait and see how it slowly makes a profit.

I grew up with a kid who's family was into that.
The only other alternative is tourist trap areas, thats not too bad.
OP is looking at the business from a customer perspective "thats where I wash clothes".
The problem is OP thinks he is looking at it from a business owner perspective but he's wrong.
OPs actual day to day business will be the following:
1) Fixing broken machines, sometimes because of minorities, sometimes because equipment is shite quality
2) Chasing homeless out of the warm dry building
3) Chasing drug dealers / prostitutes out of the warm dry building
4) People will put their laundry in a machine, disappear for months, come back, and bitch that you threw out their clothes six months ago and demand money or will take you to court or some bullshit. Basically all customer service interactions at a laundry are nightmare grade
5) You "have to" be open damn near 24x7 so you are essentially under house arrest, its kind of ridiculous. Hope you have a hobby you can do in the back room when you're bored, which will be about 95% of the time (consume media, paint minis, who knows)

Mmm op here. and you kinda opened my mind a bit.

Mostly of the long 24/7 thing. Was hoping to mostly dismiss that by hiring someone to manage it for me, and then if i do have kids, have them help me on it so they got work years under their belt once they graduate highschool and get jobs more easily.

any other business you think that youd say could have fewer maintenance hours required?
