But I can't afford college, don't want to work, and just want to study. I realize I will probs have to deal with this on my own but any suggestions?

90% of the work electrical engineers do is study on the job anyway, using spreadsheets.

Like I don't wanna do something unrelated to make the cash for college. Do you know any type of job that will teach me useful shit?

Define useful shit. Do you mean working in a garage while you earn cash for college? Coz that's useful.

I just need to gain skills related to electrical engineering while I work. I tried to do unskilled waging and it made me want to kill myself due to the boredom.

If you're talking about internships before you're even enrolled into the degree, then that's going to be extremely difficult to get.

OK well you can try, but it's extremely unlikely. Have you tried Googling electrical engineering internship?

Anon, a lot of companies will hire you for co-ops when going to school and they'll probably hire you after graduation. There's lots of things you can do. I'm currently undergoing that path, and much later in life than you. You can do this. You just need to figure out how to make it happen. Worst case scenario you might work at school for the semester. I cleaned floors and carpets to pay for my first degree. Now I will live off savings.

that's a very bad sign for learning engineering

-Work part time just to stay alive,
-go to community college at first knock out your basic calc1-3 and physics 1-3, savor it - let the math flow through you
-get as much grant money and financial aid as you can
-take on a bit of debt as you enter university

You are being a bit too lazy, community college isn't that expensive. Getting grants isn't much more effort than a job application. It doesn't get any easier in the real world bud

NTA. A dead-end because IC engines are on the way out.
