I have spent the past 6 months obsessively ruminating over the possibility of someone from my past blackmailing me with life ruining info
Like my neuroplasticity has literally formed around making connections to the possibility of this happening. I haven't gone an hour without thinking about it
What fixes this (other than suicide)

if they havent done it by now i cant imagine they ever will. sounds like youre teetering on the edge of paranoid schizophrenia. Information in itself cant be life ruining unless its death penalty tier at which point good luck. black-mail isnt so bad, if they havent even conceived that idea in 6 months you are fine. Get your affairs in order of course, have safety nets in case you need to move quickly. Where you'd move, job, cash, car, phone. "Bug-out" as they call it. you can also take the sting out by simply divulging the information to the relevant parties so it cant be used as black-mail and the blow back is alot worse than someone else doing it for you.

And no, I am not related to whatever nonsense you are worried about.

Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

this is OCD. it causes a lot of people to suffer like this and you need professional therapy to help deal with it. i know it's an awful thing to experience, hope you get better.
