I'd like to know too because I don't get many matches on dating apps and the matches are usually ugly girls but I have dated decent looking women. I uploaded a pic on photofeeler and got a 4 but I suspect that site is full of evil left-leaning women because I got a low trust and smart score when I'm a normal looking white guy.

It's easy if you're a woman to know because men just won't approach you with any regularity or will seem bored by your presence.
For men it's a little harder because the reaction that women have towards average looking men or even a little better above average is not that dissimilar from their reaction to ugly men. You could be a 7/10 and have all this >>33342144 happen to you. The best way is to approach and flirt with women. If their reaction is consistently close to pure horror or you feel them get incredibly uncomfortable or even annoyed then you're probably ugly.
To most women though, unless a man is hot to them, he's ugly. The best thing is to decide what you personally want to change about yourself physically (if anything) and then just plough along without thinking about whether you're ugly or not.
