I've always envied the life of some 4chan basement dweller white American guy who's been chilling in his Moms basement since his early teen years and has kinda just been doing his own thing since. He's a pretty chill and mellow dude, late 20's, maybe drives a forklift or something for work, kind of just been working at warehouses part-time since graduating High School. Has a stocky build, goes to the gym whenever he can but isn't super religious about it. He owns the latest gaming gadgets like the PS5, the Switch (hacked) and a mid-end gaming PC. Isn't super gungho about it though, just owns the games and series he likes. He mods most of his systems anyways and revisits old retro games every now and then. Is not a consoomer at all, mostly just shitposts on /v/, /fit/, sometimes /biz/ and /g/, and has the free time to do so and browses the latest news on tech, health and business. He's got a cozy bedroom layout with a decade old couch and lots of comforters and carpets laying around. Again isn't a consoomer so rarely if any merch, maybe has a really vanilla poster about birds or some shit. Outside of his gaming rigs he doesn't live an extravagant lifestyle and doesn't pay rent, so he's got a shit ton of savings. Invests for his retirement and is gonna inherit the home anyways. Doesn't care much for girls and meditates every now and then, mostly just goons.

As a kid I've always been so enthralled about that lifestyle and I'm envious when I come across witty anons who offer advice and is an avid shitposter because they probably live like above and are big chilling for life.

Can someone knock some sense into me and tell me how the grass isn't always greener? How do I stop these intrusive thoughts?

Why do you think it’s the answer? If you’re a man, you need a purpose. Those 4chan neets you envy face more internal spiritual hell than probably anyone on earth. Men need a purpose. It’s built into you. Find out why you don’t want to do anything. You haven’t found something you like or think is worth pouring time into.

But the guy I envy has a part-time warehouse job. My purpose is to be comfy as possible. Why wouldn't I be happy having all the free time in the world to play vidya and goon?

People with forklift jobs are low IQ. Low IQ people are happier because they can't expect misery coming their way. Intelligent anons with no social skills do all the things you said bar the forklift because they're still trying to get into a high paying career and fail about it, or have studied their ass off into a degree they hate etc. They're among the top in terms of suffering I guess, they constantly ruminate about a life with family and friends that they could never draw from lack of interest in the time they needed to have some.

Lol? Sounds boring as hell
And extremely consoomer
Gooning and gaming is just consooming content not producing anything other than semen
If ur inheriting then ur an only child doesn't ur family instill any sense of pride and legacy in you? Failed heritage issue
Continue being a modernic man media consoomer enthralled by other people's slop, w no real sense of individual self whilst ironically being obsessed with le individual

They're pretty Laissez-Faire as far as that's concerned

I'm an anti-natalist so this means nothing to me

If they bring me comfort then what's the problem? It's not as if I wouldn't have productive hobbies (Cooking healthy, working out, etc.) it's just I'd devote most of my time to being comfy playing vidya, and doing what I can to stay healthy long enough where it enables me to do it for as long as possible until I'm elderly.

It's pretty sweet, but vidya is strictly degen, Anon, come on. Why waste such sweet, sweet freedom so passively? The real prize is to pursue abysmally remunerative hobbies at your own pace. For me, it was the ability to do nearly anything, read literature, produce music, research anything that caught my attention, dabble in python, study German, go for night walks, chill with friends. It ruled. I subsidized most of it by scalping tickets online, BTW, which cost me only a few hours per day, which I also don't mind revealing since I no longer do it. I would eventually find a career I truly love doing, a discovery largely made possible by all the free time I had to explore, research and ponder me orbs. I drive a truck now for a living lol and it's only a slight change from my previous life, though I'm making more than I will ever need.

Im basically that.
The only perk i think is i have hardly any bills so i have a fuckton of money in the bank. I got a $1200 tv yesterday and that amount is hardly a dent.

Id like to move out so i felt like more of an adult instead of some pseudo falure still living at home. However i have two friends the same age who live with theirs parents because theyre broke and have broke gfs so they cant afford anything. So in my group im not much more of a loser i guess.

Anyways, what sort of life do you live that makes mine enviable?

What if they test your skill and pushes your mental acuities? I'm currently trying to master Super Mario World romhacks. They're free, challenging and easy on the PC, so I don't even have to consoom anything.

Dont pretend games are giving you skills. Theyre GAMES. Toys. I mean the best and most high-end toys and games ever invented. But still just games.
Also theyre not degenerate. Its as bad as watching a lot of tv but way more enjoyable.

Vidya is a very dubious pastime. Sure, it might not be total loss, but that line of argument is a dangerously thin one to be treading. For one, they are like crack, almost literally now, since they are expressly manufactured to be as addictive as possible. They rob men of their most precious resource: time, at a time in turn when men are most vulnerable and inexperienced and therefore most in need of real skills and real-life experience. If you have a goal to become a pro, I can get behind that. I can also support what may just be a leisure activity to an otherwise full life. But as the virtual summum bonum of an aimless young man? No way.

it's a life that very few are lucky enough to achieve so i would recommend you just stay in college

Video games challenge your brain in the same way that one flight of stairs challenges your feet. Take on a real challenge nerd.

At first I was wondering why OP decided to make an unfunny bait thread on this board but now I'm more concerned with the straight up autists that are earnestly responding to this thread. If you decided to post in this thread then I think it's terribly irresponsible for you morons to be giving advice to others when you've shown you don't have the ability to discern between extremely unsubtle satire and reality.

What in the admittedly very modest dream life you described is missing from you? Do you not have a mom with a basement? Just list all the things you need for this and then make a plan how to acquire them.

Being a 4cuck neet was really cool when I was 20. Not so much when I was 24, has to leave to get my shit together.
