I have trouble building muscle beyond this. I am already taking protein powder and pushing myself pretty hard. Never was able to surpass 165 lbs. Any advice for growth?

This looks fine and the look doesn't matter as much as real strength. Do dips

I feel like the mirror makes me look a little bigger than I really am. Idk if I should start going to a real gym. All of this is with at-home equipment. I did hit 225 lbs bench press which felt like a huge victory but is pretty meh compared to regular gym bros

Go to a real gym and lift heavy in the 7 or 8 rep range. Increase red meat and egg consumption

Just cut and you'll look awesome

Then focus on eating as much high protein food as possible (not mindlessly bulking with junk shit like pizza) and lift till failure with every exercise 8-10 reps

Diet is more important than what you do in the gym, but you NEED to go to legit failure at least once per session (or per body part, if you do multiple body parts per session) or you're coasting

you dont really need that much protein. the recommended is .7 - .8g of protein of your body weight (in lbs). any more protein than recommended is just going to be fat. but you probably do need to eat more if youre stalling. add 500 more calories.

Fast. Lean up. You are a chubby and likely fit enough if you lose the pudge.

Lose fat until you start seeing your abs, then think about bulking up again

if you are okay with losing your natty status you could run a cycle of creatine. You will see fast gains from it but it is addictive so be careful
