I literally cannot get ahold of my landlord. It's been three weeks and complete radio silence. I got a great opportunity in another city so my wife and I are trying to move out but ever since we emailed her to tell her that we are breaking the lease she has not said anything.
We've tried calling, emailing, searching public records, trying to call her associates, we even dropped by her office. When we dropped by her office it was so bizarre. It was completely empty like it had been abandoned and there were piles of letters stacked on the inside behind the door.
What are we supposed to do? Just stop paying rent and move out? It seems like there is absolutely no recourse for this. The only thing I can think to do now is to go to her physical home address which is in public records but it is a 5 hour drive away.
