Hello, it's a bit of a controversial subject but here it is: Every single day, for years, I go online on multiple forums and troll people. I have been doing this ever since I first learned about internet forums back in the early 2000s, on vbulletin and shit. I quit for a while, but lately I do it a lot again. I just like to laugh about myself and piss people off. But the problem is it takes a big chunk of time out of my day. So how do I stop? Anyone else ever experienced something like this? It is basically like an internet addiction or something. But maybe there is a more deeper psychological root issue.

At the heart of every troll is an attention-seeker. You should seek more positive forms of attention by forming real relationships, instead of clinging to an immature form like trolling and annoying people, which is something healthy people have long grown out of by adulthood.

Your worldview is a fundamentally immature one. You're like the one kid in class shooting spitballs and calling other kids faggots when they turn around. And while I agree with you, it is funny, and as a recovering troll myself I do still find shit like that funny, even in my 30s. But as you get older, you're just going to get more lonely and sad with that attitude. So try to put it behind you and focus on a more healthy worldview and actual relationships. People aren't that boring, you're just addicted to the high-intensity emotion of people being pissed off at you, which triggers adrenaline release. It's like being addicted to porn instead of learning how to have a real relationship with a woman IRL. It's not as intense or immediately rewarding, but overall it's much more healthy for you.

But if I just do it part time next to my job and relationship? Is it okay then?
