Basic situation is that I can go to a new place without roommates in my own condo apartment but I am addicted to the security and familiarity I have here. The roommates should bother me more but the setup here is really fortunate in that we never get in each other's way or have to share much living space and amenities and everyone is courteous.
The biggest problem for me is that I feel like my life has been beyond stuck in one modality for years on end, without end. I feel like staying here is basically representing and literally creating a situation for me where I don't have much of a chance to change anything in my life. Something weighs down on me when I'm here and it feels like it encourages staying in a cocoon. On the other hand, the new place might create a lot of new complications that I will have a lot of trouble dealing with and things might actually end up changing for the worse as a result. I don't really feel good about either option to be honest.
Cost isn't a factor for me and I work from home if that matters, also I'm not that young
