Will stores like Target or something similar if I'm working there allow me to wear headphones? - /adv/ (#33350566) [Archived: 405 hours ago]

So I have a tremendous fear of lightning and thunder that a simple flash of light is enough to send me into panic mode. Lightning scares the absolute shit out of me that I bought a couple hundred dollar noise canceling headphones just to cope with the noises.
I'm just wondering if stores like that will allow me to use them.

Talk with the actual manager, not the hiring hr people.

I'd grow up tho.
It's ok to have fears.
It's not ok to let them own you.
It's not sane to have ptsd from noises and lights that aren't even the thing you fear.
Headphones won't help.

Yeah, if you have a doctor's note I guess. I work with people that have all sorts of disabilities (literally a guy that cant hear works here). They just won't let you work anywhere outside because headphones are a hazard

Probably not. You need to be able to hear people speak to you (customers and managers), or hear forklifts running around the warehouse. Also, it looks third rate.
