I grew up isolated. My mom hid me from people when I was a baby and when she lost custody of me and I move with my he moved a lot and chose to live in rural areas. I was bullied relentlessly because I was always the new kid at school every 1 or 2 years.

It took me years to even interact with people other than just vomiting words at them. And even now I kind of suck at coming up with things to talk about(I'm getting better though)

I currently have no friends to talk to in RL. I dont have a job or school to go to and I rarely leave my apartment. The only people I talk to are support people with the mental health agency that pays for my apartment.

Meeting people in RL isnt really an option because there's no where to meet people and talking to strangers isnt a good idea. Most of the strangers I see hanging out on the street are probably crackheads and most people dont take kindly to people who talk to strangers.

So I was wondering how can I meet people online? what can I say to people and what chat programs can I use other than Discord? I use discord but I find it creepy because Discord is a big bad company that kills kittens. Facebook killls puppies. Jokes aside. I am autism.

Enroll in a course at a community college. Start talking to people on your way to classes and on the way home. Talk to your classmates about the classes and join whatever is going at that school.

Join Toastmasters for developing basic confidence in speaking to an audience (hint: audiences are people). They were free when I did it.

The reason I mention all those things (cc, strangers on transit, fighting class, Toastmasters) is that you probably need to build confidence, keep cool while speaking to people, speak intelligibly, project your voice, simply have a physical self-control while interacting with people, have a calm assertiveness). It's like putting down the foundations of a house. Online stuff cannot give you any of those things and therefore cannot lead to having a normal life.
