Signed my lease and it says I have to pay on the 1st of the month but I cant move in until 2 weeks later. Is this legal? Yes im being a jew over this because im a college student and shit ain't cheap. Why am I paying a full month of rent then?

If you were not asked for a deposit is totally fine, if you were speak to your landlord and let him or her know about the situation.

If he or she is not able to make a good explanation just see if you can find somewhere else.
