I'm thinking of switching to an electric razor. I have relatively fine hair and I can go longer without shaving than most, but I put off shaving because it's a faff. Is there an electric shaver/ setup that lets me do it at my desk, while not being harsh on the skin?

the foil gets stinging hot quite fast
it's fine otherwise
and one time I found a beard hair impaled in my finger like a splinter after shaving

those braun ones won't work when your beard is too long
the built in trimmer is small and annoying to use
you need an actual trimmer or something too

BaBylissPRO foil shavers are probably the best you're going to get from my experience. Used regularly by barbers. Very close, clean shave.

If you get good at shaving with razors or a razor it's like magically easier than any option. You probably don't know how to shave.

The blades get filled with hair and lose effectiveness quickly, leading me to splashing them in the water and repeating the same rough area again and again, going back and forth between the mirror and sink. Electric razors don't seem to have this mechanism so ideally I could just rub it on my face a bunch and be done.

>The blades get filled with hair
Straight razors don't have this problem
