>>33355593Before you seek professional help, do you know anyone in your personal life that you can confide in? A parent? A sibling? A close friend? Talk to them, first. Therapy can be great for some people, but you may reap similar benefits by just talking to someone close to you that you trust. These violent, intrusive thoughts that you're experiencing may be a manifestation of your own suffering. Many people (subconsciously) tend to attack the external world through their thoughts and words before they consider that the problem may have an internal origin. For example, what is it about customer service staff workers that you find irritating? Do you think they lack respect for you? Do you think that they're incompetent? Were you mistreated harshly by one of these people? Try to answer these questions - then dig deeper. I'll tell you this much - the fact that you want help diagnosing this problem and are open to receiving help is a great sign. There's plenty of people in similar positions that don't have the wherewithal to even ask "is this behavior normal?"
The best piece of advice I can offer is this: get off 4chan. If you're struggling to empathize with people, hanging around a place where everyone is bitter, dismissive, and degrading is only going to reinforce your misanthropy. If you consume violent media on a regular basis, wane yourself off it. If you can, make spending quality time outside a habit - at a park, trail, or somewhere peaceful. Personally, nature has always helped center me during hard times in my life. I wish you the best.
