I picked blackberries at this fun farm recently and I genuinely loved it, even after being really stuck by a few thorns and it being hot as fuck outside I kept soldiering on and even got like almost a barrels worth of blackberries with my mom's help. Is picking or fruit or foraging a viable career path? I loved the process of finding spots where the juiciest and ripest blackberries were and the satisfaction of seeing all the ones I got moreso than getting screamed at on a grocery bagging or dishwashing job

You could do it as a hobby and learn to make jellies and jams. If you get really good at it, maybe you can turn it into a side hustle. There's a lot of competition though.

Fruit picking is a job, but I'm pretty sure they use machines, they don't pick by hand.
