Should I just live in my car while I go to university? I'm currently mooching off my family while in community college, but I'm about to transfer to a four year and the housing costs are insane. Not only would I save thousands by living in my car, I wouldn't have to live with normies. Surely this is doable?

Living in your car is peak comf, especially in the winter when you can blanket up and stay warm against all odds. You might miss having a toilet.

Well, I basically have no other option. Federal loans are capped well below total cost of attendance, and my parents are too poor to help. I ran the math and I probably can't afford it unless I somehow get thousands in aid. Not living in my car basically equals not going to a nice university at all.

I think a private loan would be crazier than car living. If I did on campus housing, I might be able to barely afford it for one semester. I would have to take out the max loan amount for the entire year just for that semester to do it. But next semester, I would almost certainly be living in my car.

And as long as I get good hygiene, I might be able to make living out of my car appear cool to these normies. They might have sympathy for me. But yes, I might barely be able to stay in a dorm for one semester out of the four.

you should at least get a van or SUV so you can sleep comfortably.

You should keep going to community or pick a cheaper uni if transferring won't cover your cost of attendance. Living in your car as a student will do you no favors and will add extra stress/discomfort to a high pressure environment. Nobody gives a fuck about where you went to college anyway, focusing more on sucking alot of dicks aka networking
