I have a couch where you can chill on and a small budget hifi system where you can listen to music. Isn't that enough? I really really despise having a TV. I mostly fill my time playing piano, listen to music, working out and reading. But I know girls all just watch netflix or TV in the evening.
Will I have trouble if a girl comes over if I don't have a TV? Is buying one unavoidable?

No, she will come over because of you. If that's not the case and she is there for the consumerism, you already lost.
Perform something on the piano, make deep talks, etc.
Important is that you do not lie about you have a TV.

ROFLMAO. Oh my goodness (wiping away tears). The subhuman 4chan moron's idea of living happily ever after is to have someone to watch tv with. You can't make this stuff up.

"netflix and chill" has existed long before netflix, the pretense to invite a girl over to your house or parent's basement or whatever has always been "oh hey isn't it crazy we both like this movie, how about we have a watching party" or "you would love this movie you should come over and watch it".

Even with girls where movies weren't our main shared interests, it was always the excuse to invite them over. Even if you're both fans of whatever music, movies or a series of a TV show or whatever gives you that excuse to sit in the dark close on the couch together.

You don't even have like a monitor for your computer? You could play movies and whatever off of that.

Having a TV is not important in itself; but, as the other anon said, it's an essential *excuse* for inviting someone over when what you (and probably also she) have in mind is something else. If you say to a woman "Come over and listen to me playing the piano" that sounds weird and narcissistic. But "Why don't you come over and we'll watch this movie" sounds natural.
