Extremely socially anxious person here. After a decade of being a hermit, I'm planning to start getting my shit together, starting with a visit to the doctor. Problem is, first I need to call in an appointment, and phone calls in particular are very hard on my anxiety.
Any advice? Do you typically need to actually explain your problems over the phone, or do you just give them your name and set up a date? Should I bring up my insurance?
>>33361947 (OP)Don't visit a psychiatrist. Don't visit a psychologist. Never tell the truth. Nothing good can come from being diagnosed. It just makes everything worse and borderline makes you a subhuman, depending on the diagnosis you get many privileges revoked. Pay someone who doesn't have the authority to diagnose you for a psychoanalysis and never let it enter any databases because it all gets leaked and sold on the dark web

Write down a script to follow so you don't stumbke over your words too much, remind yourself that the receptionist is dealing with 100s of calls every day and won't remember you even if you're a mega sperg, good luck
