My Wife greets me at the door with a checklist every fucking day when I get home from work: “Why didn’t you pick up the drink/food I asked for? Did you remember to schedule the blah blah blah? Are you ignoring me?”
I’m still in work boots from my construction job working 10hr shifts 6 days a week, sweating my ass off in this summer heat, brain fried, tired, dehydrated and etc.... She’s sometimes goes to tears because “I never help around the house.” Even though she quit her job and is attending online college because I can afford all the bills on my own.
I get managed down into chores before I’ve even take my work clothes off. I love her, but I need a minute to relax. How do I create a “buffer zone” after work without her feeling shut out?
