getting into digital art
I want to make fan art of a visual novel I really liked but I'm only familiar with real life materials. What software and hardware do I need? Keeping it in a reasonable budget of course.

The hell is wrong with big male scary monsters?

Anyway. It's the same with my independent filmmaking, you gotta be frugal and hard-working, and in a way you gotta know the people who believe in you are still in your heart no matter what.

Wacom tablet or Cintiq
Pirate photoshop or use Krita
Get a computer with a good GPU to handle complex illustrations
Alternatively, do it in ink and scan it into a computer, then use Krita or Photoshop to color it in.
That's all you need!

Godzilla is not a big scary male monster. In the original Japanese Godzilla is referred to by "it" gender neuter language, and any time its sexuality has ever been hinted at, it is capable of producing eggs or offspring. English material that translates Godzilla as a "he' is just colloquial, like Mother Earth.

Krita is much more CPU than GPU heavy tho.
