>>33372675I'll be honest, I work out regularly, train MMA, dress clean, groom myself regularly, don't subscribe to any strange or fringe ideological beliefs, have a good education, and am confident with no self-esteem issues, and I often get cut in line more often than what should be statistically possible; and almost always it's crotchety old guys or middle-aged dudes who look grumpy, drunk dude-bros, and manlets who look like they have some martial arts training. I think they just see a taller, physically fit dude, and I guess due to their life circumstances, or their impaired judgement, or their poor impulse control, or what-have-you, they try to do so as a powerplay, or in order to feel better about themselves. Funnily enough, I've never seen a gangbanging "YN" type do it to me, nor any sort of "ghetto" type person do it to me, but if they look preppy and kind of rich, the likelihood of it happening goes up.
The first time it happened was with a drunk dudebro, and honestly I just kinda stood there seething, and I knew his buddy could sense it, cause his buddy would look over at me nervously, but ultimately he ended up cutting me too, because he probably figured if he verbalized or implicitly acknowledged the fact that his buddy cut, it might escalate the situation, whereas if he continued to pretend not to notice, at least he could fall back on plausible deniability; but yeah, that first time I just seethed and didn't do shit. The second time, I just took a deep breath, cooled my ego, tapped this stocky manlet wearing "Tapout" brand clothing on the shoulder and politely said "Sorry sir, I was actually in line next", and he just kind of stared at me a little bit with some attitude, but then relinquished 2 seconds later and went to the back of the line, and honestly I didn't see his facial expression afterward because I just got my food and minded my own business from that point on.
