Hello /adv/, I'm a 21 years old male. For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm ready to date. I've got a car, I'm in good shape, I've got a full time job making okay spending money (I work warehouse, which isn't much but it's better than nothing), and I've solved most of my social anxiety issues (I can talk to people just fine and I'm not awkward). I live in the UK.
There are no women in my daily life. I have no real life friends (and I wouldn't even know where to meet any), and all of my hobbies are both online and very heavily male dominated. There are absolutely 0 natural opportunities for me to talk to a woman, and I've accepted that. I've been thinking about cold approaching for a long time now, because it really is the only option for someone like me.
Well today I went for it. At 12:00 I went to my local shopping centre and I was prepared to approach any girl that looked near my age and was alone. My plan was to just make some small talk, tell her I find her cute and ask for her number. Rejection or not, I was down to at least ask a couple of girls out before going home.
However, despite there being 1000s of people at the shopping centre, there were literally 0 approachable women, and I have no idea what to do. The first problem was that the vast majority of women were out of my age range. The second was that the ones that looked my age were in groups, maybe with a friend, and obviously plenty with their boyfriends. Third, the ones that were alone and I could potentially approach, were either speed walking somewhere or wearing headphones. Mostly both.
I went around looking at the sitting benches. Seriously, I walked around for 2 hours just going back and forth through all of them. There were no women without headphones sitting on a bench and just idling. I was ready to approach a girl today, even if I got rejected, but there were none.
What do I do? I haven't been this depressed in a while. What can I even fucking do?
