hi, adv. here's my situation
i'm 18 and my brother is 17 in a week. he completely lacks respect for me as his older sister and that's probably the result of me babying him growing up (defending him from our parents, apologizing to him first even if he hit me, etc) but i literally don't know what to do.
we used to play wrestle a lot growing up but i stopped at 6 because i bruised easily and i was made to draw with a lady asking about my homelife lol.
he's hated me for reasons beyond my comprehension ever since he was 8 years old, started completely refusing any affection and hated being near me unless he wanted something from me. he's hated me longer than he's loved me atp. we're latino so hugging and kisses are normalized but he hasn't hugged me in 5 years.
that's a lot of complaining - let me get to the point. he beats me, like to the point of deep purple bruises. any chance he gets, basically.
i've told my mom, she talks to him then tells me boys will be boys and i shouldn't annoy him (i literally stay out of his way, normally it's bc he wants food and i can't cook so i literally cant make him any). when i talk to my friends, they tell me to beat him back but all i see is the little 4 year old i used to play mario galaxy with.
our relationship is very turbulent, sometimes he'll ask me for advice and then beat me.

i don't yell or cry or say anything, so i'm truly at a loss.
he is a turbo normie misogynist, i think he does it bc he has no other women he can reasonably beat bc a gf would press charges.
no he is not autistic, he is not an incel he's brought girls over before.
