I want to get a masters degree. I am now in my junior year of uni and I really REALLY fucked up my sophomore year and brought my GPA to a 2.7, which won't let me do an honors program this semester. Am I fucked? I am a phi and french/german major wanting to of course eventually get into a phd program. Should I quit my acaremic career after one shitty semester and work until I die, or continue to study harder than I ever have before?

i see, so you have been fighting in your college and feel like it's too hard and you have a struggle with your grade and feel desperate and looked down upon, you wanna get an advice if you should move on or not.

Anon, this is my observations:

1. employers partly wanna know about your majors, they also partly wanna know if you fought the battles during your college years, so if you are a good battler, they would consider it a high chance of getting you in.

>heyyy, Anon, i see you have a bad grade board here, maybe not so good, but hey, you have great years at college and i heard you battled very well and went through a lot of challenges and made it til the end of the road. so, look, we decided to take you in, congratulations on becoming a member of our company.

tada

2. keep fighting, you can rely on your teachers, just come to their home, do everything you can to get the most out of them

Good luck, Anon, i wish the best to you!

Is this AI? I'm not talking about getting a job. The only job I am deeply personal about is tenureship and philosophical research and my last semester seemingly has ruined that dream. I try to engage with my professors but it isn't returned, as if I am meant to not be doing this in the first place. I haven't read a philosophical text over the summer, even after realizing how much the Greeks and Heidegger has gripped me. It seems hopeless at this point

hi, Professor here:
you have to fit two categories

1. the girl you want to date will judge you based on your look, dress decently like a 35 or younger, she will judge you if you are an elegant or decent person or not, so dress carefully

2. it's normal to date girls like that, since there are many people like to date men who are a lot older than them, the thing is you have to be careful

3. the thing i told you to be careful is, act like a decent person, even if you have dark side inside your mind, act like a polite and decent person with a good manner, women like to be treated with good manner, be as nice as you can

4. what distinct you from the others that she wanna date is that you are a grown man and you have a lot of experience in dating and relationship, so act in an adult way, show her all your bests, act like a caring and generous man, careful watch of all your gestures and verbal gestures towards her.

Mr. Professor wanna wish you all the best and have a good day to you

hi, it's Mr. Professor again. thank you for paying interest in my thread, and it's really good to know that you have a big interest in philosophy and yes, i'm a normal person, so here are my advices:

1. ask your professors to summarize them all down, into short sentences to break down all the history of philosophy, this will be a big break comparing to your friends, who have to read the big books. you will be able to skip thousands of words asking your teacher

2. /lit/ wikia, google it, and view the book selection, it will provide you a summary of philosophy and break philosophy down to the most simple elements so you can be able to comprehend philosophy structurally and systematically

3. watch summary videos on youtube about philosophy. philosophy can be easy and simple if you meet enough good and useful references

4. philosophy is just a science of thinking, so where does this science come from? it's from our minds, and how can you access to this? it comes from your mind too, and you can study philosophy by studying your mind and your thought process, learn from your own self and analyse your thoughts, you will learn philosophy very fast

5. philosophy is a science of thinking, methodology and in short, ways of thinking, so you just need to read short texts, where they tell you everything about the whole world in a nutshell

again, i wish you all the bests, Anon. Philosophy is a meaningful subject, and it will bring a lot of benefits to you, there are many billionairs became rich after studying philosophy

6. if you want to know the philosophy where you can apply to daily life, study TRIZ, it's called theories of problem solving, where it uses philosophy to solve daily life problem and the thought process

if you follow this path long enough, you will receive many successes in your life. get the most out of your teachers, they can summary 10 000 years of philosophy down into 5 minutes lecture, so it's a massive source of useful information.

7. youtube is a good source of info there, ask for short videos where they compliment about everything in philosophy

8. follow Mr. Professor's threads for more, i will give you more advices on this, since i have been studying philosophy by myself for over 9 years and i got the most grasps of it and i have to say, you have to battle a lot in this field. but you can shorten the path by asking good teachers out there, just ask your local professor, they will give you everything if you

hi, Mr. Professor here, nice to meet you my friend, i see you are a Chinese wanna get to America (?),
here are my advices:

1. learn how to play chess well, chess will help you make decisions fast and narrow your decisions and make analogies for you to shorten your path of thinking
2. you still live with your family, so make them proud, be a good son to your father and mother, do everything to make them happy, treat them with kindness and good heart, don't let them disappointed, that's how you get through nepotism and ace it
3. you will have people guide you through the challenges, so don't worry. learn from the masters and the people who had experiences before you

anyway, i wish you all the best, my friend, i wish you good health, happy family and hope you ace everything in school and hope you ace everything in America or even your homeland, China

hi, it's Mr. Professor here,
i guess you have chosen your destination, so let's talk about if you should move to America or not. i don't know much about your info yet, but America is a land where people give you oppoturnities and give you room to be a star, they give you chances to be an entrepneur and do startup, many things. they have many ways to support you, financially and educationally, everything you need to know has been available in America, so, that's a promise land for many people.

i see that you love to trade, so in America, you are able to learn how to trade from the masters, since American prone to share experiences with you, you can easily have knowledge from masters

2. how do you get a girlfriend with no bodycount? just go out there and be brave, just flirt with women, confess your love for them, treat them with respect and politeness, be generous to them, go out and hang out and have fun with them and treat them nicely, be a decent role model where women want to hang out with you, be compassionate and empathize with them,... do all the good things a grown up man would do and you reap the goods

3. law degree, that's a good thing to think about , since people sue a lot these days. i recommend you should study on Udemy, or online websites, there are many websites that teach you how to get a good degree in law, good luck with that Anon

wish you all the best things to come and hope you be successful!

The Professor whose course I took last year just wrote me an email in which he asked me to apply to work for him due to my "outstanding result" in the course.

as what i saw is that you have two decisions apply or not apply. but if you look at this situation and the context is that your professor want to support you, and that he realized your potential and is willing to help, so he is partly responsible for his offering. my advice is to apply, Anon. even if you don't have the best grade, you still improve it and gain more understanding from your professor, he will help you a lot, in your academia and even further, he would help you with his relationships in the university, he would tell his other colleague that you are a good student, you would wing out and be successful soon with that option. i wish you the best in life
>>33385636
well, i see you want to develop your mentality and independent thinking, that's a good question since you want to improve yourself and this is a good moral question.

i suggest play Chess, since the Chess community have a lot of free thinker and independent thinker where they have many interesting ideas and methodology of solving problem and more than that, they will elaborate and explain their way of thinking to you, so you can have independent ways of thinking and good decisions in your hand

learn chess, play chess, study chess, study chess games, learn from the masters

then learn Go, the ancient board game, since it can teach you many things in methodology of solving problems and way of thinking.

ultimately, study TRIZ, theory of solving problems, and 40 theories for solving problems, developed by a Russian Professor.

i wish you the best in life, wish you good health, good mind, hope things in your life will improve for the better. you have one of the best question in this thread

I find myself weirdly attracted to my friend. I know we're not the most masculine guys around but I have the same feelings I have to him as I do for girls and it's driving me insane. I'm pretty sure he's gay but not entirely sure. He has this long hair and a nice face with those cute eye bags. I love listening to him when he explains his nerdy art shit to me. I love being around him and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I've never felt this way to a guy before and I feel confused as shit. The last time I felt attracted towards a woman was back in middle school when I dated a girl. I'm very picky so I don't fall in love easily but when I do I love them for YEARS.

I fear I may have fallen for something I may not want to attain and I don't know what to do. I still find women attractive but it's only really when I get to know them. Whenever I see pictures of half-naked women here I don't feel anything towards them, not even a microboner or blood rushes to my dick.

my observation is that relationship can be rapid sometimes, things can be complicated. you want to make him a company, yet still want make things clear, then my suggestion would be taking it slower.

1. go for a walk, calm your mind down
2. swim, so you can slow your thoughts down
3. hot bathe
4. listen to slow music
5.meditation

that's the most basic i can give you.
you have the most intersting question in this thread, Anon. you seem to stuck in a situation where you stuck in sexuality and likability, things are hard to make decision, i suggest you should keep maintain and still develop this relationship with him, yet keep a safe distance, analyse your thought can make it slower. find another females to hangout with, you will gradually find things easy to handle there. thank you a lot for coming here, Anon, i really appreciate your presence

good question! thank you Anon for noticing my words and had a good comment on my grammar.

grammar is the structure of a sentence and how to display a sentence. i don't need to use to most advanced grammar or the most complex sentence structure, i speak like how a normal person would talk. as easy as people could understand.

and the most essential thing here is that i support ideas that help solve and execute the problems. so providing and serving ideas is my main area of operation.

but thanks a lot for commenting on my grammar and language skill, i will improve on this a lot. you are a big help, Anon. and yes, you are right, language can be a way to represent a professional instructor, so that would be starlight if i dress my language skill up well. thank you again, my friend.

i wish you the best in life, hope you and your family the best things in the world, hope them be happy and fulfilled, wish you have good health and have good relationships

:)
