That's rough, you're already doing the main thing you can do for bipolar. Try to use the mania to get yourself in a good place for the depression, I guess

Use a mood calendar/graph app that you input your current mood each day into. It builds a visible map of your moods, then you get to visualise exactly when to expect the manic highs or depressive lows. Know your own pattern and then you can plan ahead of time before the mood takes you.

You won't be able to stop the shifting, but you can plan what your life can accommodate ahead of time. That way when you're low, you still have a sense of control. Vice versa for manic highs.

Also try and adopt a detached perspective on both moods. See them as useful, both of em. Take van Gogh for example, commonly believed to be Bipolar as fuck. He used his manic highs to go wander around and take in some beauty. Then when he was low, used that pain and desire to paint what he wanted to recapture. Not saying you should go be a painter but what it means is you can use both aspects of your mercurial mood in tandem to accomplish shit same as anyone else.
