My best friends are fighting and idk what to do.
1 told 2 that he thinks the path 2 is following is a bad idea that will leave her worse in the long run, and personally I agree with him
2 said both her and her psychologist agreed it's a good path for self healing (it consists in becoming a worse person to become a better person), and is disappointed in us and wishes we'd understand her and share the same view, but accepts it and says that what matters then is the she must love herself
1 gets mad at her for this, since we've always supported her through everything (which is true) and that he finds what she said to be extremely manipulatory and a sort of holier-than-thou
Now 1 asked me to speak to her because he doesn't know what to do with her, and 2 asked me to make sure 1 doesn't isolate himself
I said yes to both of them, but I have no idea what I can do to make things right. I know it'll sort itself out in a couple days probably, but in the meanwhile I have no idea what to do and most importantly I don't know what to do to make sure it doesn't happen again

It's it possible to find out what this psychologist actually said? This doesn't sound like something psychologist would condone unless they were being told some fibs.

Literally as written in the op, becoming a worse person for the sake of becoming better. This also includes not bending backwards for others, which while was something she really needed to stop doing as people were constantly taking advantage of her, also led to her often acting shitty towards her friends too and slurring every other sentence (1 doesn't like excessive swearing, I kind of dislike it but most importantly I'm worried it might impact her career, as she wants to become a grade school teacher and good luck if you slur in front of the children)
Another thing she did recently is that she started vaping, both as a stress relief from her eating disorder but also as a way to make herself "less pure", as she had never smoked before and considered it one of her best points. As far as I know it might've happened just a couple times and then she stopped, but her psychologist apparently told her she did a very good job doing that. She's already extremely frail, so I don't understand how she can congratulate her over making her conditions worse than they already are, and I'm also worried there might be more 2 didn't tell me or that she might start doing worse stuff as time goes.
2 didn't want 1 to isolate, but that's because 1 often does that. He also recently lost his cat, and there's some issues going on in his family. She'd like to be there for him, but she's afraid of making things worse since 1 thinks she was being manipulative

As worried as I am, nope, I don't think so. I think 2 and her psychologist might've been misunderstanding each other, otherwise her psychologist is a psychopath who needs to stop working as soon as possible
