My girlfriend of 5 months just told me her (very abusive) parents just told her she had to either choose me or them and she chose me, she says they locked her out (she lives in my city but visits them) and told her never to speak to them again, what the fuck do I do???? I can't be the fucking reason her parents disowned her, regardless of how shitty they are to her they're still her family, I'm fucking panicking and I don't know what to do. Of course I love her and don't want to lose her but I feel like I don't deserve her and this only makes it worse, I just don't know what to do. If I tell her to stick with her decision then I'm the reason she was disowned by her own parents, if I tell her to choose them over me and they don't take her back than she has no one and she'll feel like I don't love her, I just don't know what to do

What's the problem? They're shit people that neither of you need to be around if they would do that to their own daughter. And she knows that because she's already made her decision. You didn't do anything, you don't need to do anything, it's already done. Stay with your girl.

I feel responsible. There's been times when I lost my temper or relapsed on porn and broke her heart, she told them about it and they think I'm evil and going to hurt her and that's why they told her this. They are awful and abusive but I can't help but feel like they were trying to protect her from me in their own twisted way and because of me now she's separated from her own family. If I didn't fuck up and hurt her she wouldn't have told them about how I hurt her and this wouldn't have happened

what makes you think they'll accept her again if you dump her? they are obviously neurotic
imagine this
>be femanon
>parents disown me and lock me out of their home
>boyfriend breaks up with me shortly after
>want to kill myself

Anon, as a man who ran away from home I can say that she made the right call.
Clinging to abusive parents is the worst thing you can do. Biological family does not matter. It only matters when the biological parents serve the social responsibilities towards the kid.
As an adult we choose our own family.
Literal 0 reasons to feel any guilt, this is a net positive.

They're probably not abusive and she is exaggerating

I imagine this is bait, but I guess it's just possible the girl is from an orthodox Muslim family, so: the answer, OP, is that you don't need to do anything. You didn't force this decision on her; her parents did. And when the decision was made, it was she who made it, not you. She knows perfectly well that you and she may not last forever; chances are she's been desperate for an excuse to leave her parents for ages, now. This is her responsibility, not yours. All you need to do is be a decent boyfriend for as long as you both want it.
