Its clear to me I've been using this thing as a coping mechanism and crutch for failing in life / gives me a false sense of security.

has anyone ever chucked their computer out the window and not looked back for an extended period of time? Did your life change?

The problem isn't the computer. The problem is not having anything to do for 16 hours everyday.

It probably would help. Personally I don't see myself ever giving up my computer, maybe I'm in too deep. I'd probably just rent an apartment and put zero technology in there and see if I survive.

>Real life businesses and streets are in a tough time, so they are not very good
>So the people who go to them are bored and boring people
>So the streets are overrun with unsavory people
>Which drives interesting people online
>which drives more interesting people online
>which drives you online
So now you are left with the question of staying online, trying to go out hoping you will find non boring people out there, or figuring out how to bring your online friends into the IRL
