But idk I feel like people should be going out and doing stuff with their bros

Like I do have bros / homies, but it's a long story and I've got like 3-4 disparate groups of bros and it's not like I can just hang out with em ALL

What if one group is intelligent and the other is idiotic

What if one group is religious and hates fun, and another is irreligious and has fun

Think you're right at core though, which is kind of unfortunate. Feel like this is something I should've made up my mind years ago though.

first of all, put your pathetic self pity in the garbage where it belongs
secondly, just stick to your principles regardless of who you hang out with and nourish whatever friendships you think will be the most resilient after college.
you can be the token intelligent guy in the group of idiots, or the one principled guy in the irreligious fun havers, whatever man. just meet people where they are, hang out with them, be considerate. after all, they were cool enough to invite you to the function every now and then.
the closest friends I have are different from me in a lot of ways, but they know where I stand on things. that’s just life baby
