I stayed over at a guy friend's house because we were up late playing D&D. I'm MTF, this guy has been my friend since before I transitioned.

My bf is mad that I stayed over at this guy's house but it just never registered with me that he would worry about that since I'm MTF and this guy was my friend pretransition.

My bf doesn't want me to see this friend anymore and he's like "I was fine until you stayed overnight there but I don't like the idea of you alone with that guy". I live with my bf and I don't have a job so I kind of have to do what he says if I don't want to be out in the street but I don't want to cut off my friend.

Would it be bad to lie and say my friend is gay or is there some other way I might get my bf to chill?

Saying he's gay makes no sense, regardless of how you view yourself or expect and hope others to view you that way, you openly call yourself "male to female trans" which means you still understand you are a male and not actually female - not even insulting you, you are saying it yourself by not simply identifying as female. 1. There is a high likelihood this friend wants you but since he is the D&D type with tranny friends he's making no moves but silently pining
2. That's not really your problem, you can have the convo if he ever comes to you with it. Your bf asking you to drop a friend over his insecurity is not a reasonable ask. A reasonable ask is setting boundaries like don't spend the night or drink when it's just the two of you hanging.
