>>33397963>I read a lot online but whenever I read literature or other books I don't understand many things and feel very stupid after since I can hardly grasp the concepts. I feel genuinely low IQLiterature to a certain degree is based around that, you're coming across new words (likely very older words) all the time and depending on the literature itself all sorts of new concepts and ideas.
There's loads of websites or whatever that help explain metaphors and the meaning of commonly-known books, and I'm sure there's book youtubers as well that talk to lengths about the deeper concepts of books. Otherwise just try to enjoy the act of reading, clearing your head and being focused on just words on paper.
But for me it was just deep diving into books, one summer as kid/teen I did nothing except read Stephen King novels. Growing up I would also be way into reading the Goosebumps series.
I guess if you're talking more non-fiction especially with theology and whatnot that's probably also way out of my wheelhouse, but there's always youtube.
