3. Keep a record of your business expenses. Easiest way is to have a separate credit card that you only use for operating the business. Ideally also a checking account if the way in which you sell your products or services to customers doesn't provide any record keeping for associated expenses.
Track any associated mileage on your car used for business operations as well using an app like Stride.
4. Register at minimum an LLC so you have a legally culpable entity for the business to operate under.
5. Get raped by taxes next year. I would really recommend finding an accountant beforehand and be able to provide the end of year report and expense records to them so they can file your Schedule C correctly.
6. Find as many ways as possible to improve your profit margin by reducing the expenses involved in operating your business.
