how do you guys balance a gym life and a full time job?

I’m going crazy over here
I have like an hour to myself at the end of the day

Idk what people do with their time that they think they only have an hour of free time a day, go look at your phone screen time, i bet it's more than an hour.
you just have no discipline.

>wake up 6:30
>run
>breakfast
>shower
>work by 8:30
>work till 17:30
>home 18:15
>gym 19:30
>dinner 20:30
>games/social 21:30
>sleep

>weekends
>chores for 3 hours
>have 15+ hours to do whatever i want

>1 hour average screen time a week

the fuck do you do all day op

>surprised when day is wasted

I wake up 8:30
I work from home 9-5
Chores5-6:30
I eat and shower 6:30-7:30
I go to the gym usually 8-10 sometimes 11
Drive back home and shower and do some skin care. And have my final meal of the day. By then it’s like 1am give or take

I game for like an hour before I go to bed.

Was thinking of buying a bench and some weights and make my own little set up at home.

Figured that could buy me some time.

Brother what are you doing for 3 hours at the gym?
Unless you are an actual athlete you are spending waaaaay too much time at the gym.

I’m def overtraining aren’t I lmao
was trying to get into the next stage.
Losing fat so I added cardio after a session. Lose fat. Maintain muscle but go extra hard at the gym to lose minimal muscle
I’d be on the treadmill for an extra half hour. I feel like I move pretty sluggish during the gym sessions but I push through it

I feel like my nature of not giving up is ironically working against me

I work through the fatigue
Instead of giving myself like a week off that I know you’re supposed to do on occasion.

I find it difficult to because my minds always racing.

I’m in decent shape but def still feel exhausted from back to back weeks of Jim

I have 2 rest days per week but never take a week off. Feels like I’ll get fat af and lose progress if I do that

Find a 24hr gym and go at odd hours anon. I work 4pm-Midnight and now I go at 1am, the sauna is always empty so I can lie down, and I never wait to use my machines. Shits so cash.

And remember, you don’t do heavy lifting all the time. Lift heavy four days a week, have two days a week where you just stretch and rest, and one day a week just do some light exercise like playing basketball.

It's the same discipline that gets you to your job every day. I go because I picture a fat depressed guy following me who will take over if I don't

Home gym is good solution i was powerlifter also taking way too long inna gym, recently started back up again and i get hypertrophy from 1 compound and 1-2 isolations, used to do 2 and 3. I think i have a better handle on rpe for myself than others as i was meticulous in recording for powerlifting and getting a mind muscle connection, and ive found that u can get gains from 5-6 rpe in working sets whereas before i was always trying for 8-9 and frying my cns and taking way too long in rest periods bc i just cared about moving weight. If ur goals are bodybuilding just take it easy and go faster with lighter weight and less break time, if u eat well and sleep well ull get there bud. Homegym saves me an hour, get a squat rack/cage and get some cable attachments for it theyre pretty nifty

Must be a fulfilling life only having one hour to each day for yourself and not grinding to win in the worldly rat race

oh shit that’s not a bad idea
Especially the not always lifting heavy thing
I lift heavy basically all the time

Do you alternate weeks btw?
Lifting heavy one week but lifting lifter another week but going for higher reps?

It is so unlikely that you are over training you are just not training efficiently.

Cardio doesn't equal fat loss just like lifting doesn't negate losing muscle.

The way your write this it sounds like you have no idea what you are doing.

You need to follow an actual program. Pay a personal trainer for a short period of time to put you on the correct track or actually do some research.
