2023-2025, switched from pursuing med to studying to get a science degree to a law degree and it's not working out. i hate doing law but was forced to get into it.

now, i'm thinking of doing something with computers.

i've wasted money and can't see myself to the end of my law degree of 5 years completion. don't even know what job i want or what I'm passionate when it comes to studying but I love helping kids who come from broken families.

should I give up school and get a job, start bottom and work my way up? or trust in that getting a degree will be better? or do part-time and get a job or...take the risk and do a degree in something with computers. I really don't know.

Experienced anons are much appreciated.

>dropped out of med
>went into law (saturated field)
>wants to go into cs (another saturated field)

Sounds like you'd spend another 4 years just to find yourself in the exact same position.

Spare yourself the trouble. Just get a job and start living life. Ditch the linear "get degree, work your way up" mentality. Stop trying to find meaning in work and just look to get good at something.

If you're almost done the law degree, just tough out the last year and get the JD. You can get hired at places that aren't law firms.

I want to cry. Thanks anon. I've already applied to 3 jobs, waiting to hear back...I have about 2 and a half years left for law, not much to go.
