I have a ton of good venues for my career but I can't bring myself to pursue anything. For two years, I've been sitting on my ass, playing videogames and just rotting. How do I find the strength to actually make a move?

What sort of venues are they? (Feel free not to answer that; I don't mean to pry) But just basically are they venues you don't really want, even if they seem to have things to commend them? What do you really want? If you could snap your fingers and change your life, what would you be doing right now instead of what feels like "rotting"? Even if it didn't have income attached to it, what would be the ideal in terms of what your days were like? (Not to say that the income question isn't important also.)

Just trying to help you think about it, whether or not I'm able to do anything with any answers you give (if you even choose to post any answers to my questions here, which of course is up to you).

Ask mommy and daddy to throw you out.

do the smallest amount you can tolerate consistently/daily
the two minute rule if it takes two minutes or less 'do it now/immediately'
try counting backwards from 5 when procrastinating to take an action
