I have a decade of bad oral hygiene due to negligent parents enforcing bad habits as a kid. I’ve been fixing that the past few months. Would it be possible to turn yellow teeth white again without mutilating them (ex. veneers)?

Yeah, OP. That's one of the easiest things to fix.
Use these.
Specifically these ones. You might think "sensitive" means they're weaker, but the fact that they have a lower strength of bleach means you can use them much more than the standard ones, to actually get your teeth properly bright white. Yes, the one with the light helps (UV light speeds up oxidizing reactions, which is why it's bad for your skin but good for bleaching your teeth). The good thing is that the light is reusable for multiple packs, so just buy one kit with the light and a couple more without it.

After you get them pretty satisfyingly white with these, then you go to the dentist if you want, and tell them to spot-brighten any areas that weren't covered by the strips.
Dentists can offer you tray whitening, but trays are more likely to long-term damage the nerves and prevent you from eating ice cream/etc.

But these strips only whiten the front parts of your front most teeth right? Are there any that actually whiten the entire teeth besides going to the dentist?

Yeah, those only whiten the part that people see when you open your mouth. It's the important part anyway.

There are other kinds (trays, gels, etc), as well as the dentist trays, but they are more likely to damage the nerves in your teeth.
That's why I suggest using the strips. Use the strips first for a while (you will need several boxes of them if your teeth are starting very yellow).
After like 5 boxes of those sensitive strips, then go to the dentist and have them just spot-check whatever else you want whitened. Or you can do that yourself with gel pens, etc.

'fraid so (I don't like that unhygienic people can wash away their shame)
