I'm a 4th-year college student and I'm supposed to be graduating soon, but I still have 3 exams to retake this summer. Problem is that I’ve spent this entire month on 4chan doing literally nothing. Now I’ve got 2 weeks left, and I’m freaking out because I haven’t even started studying.

I keep coming back here even though I know it’s messing me up. I’ve tried to stop, but every time I do, I just end up feeling insanely lonely. I don’t have any friends IRL, so this place is my only social outlet. But it also destroys my ability to focus or get anything done.

I don’t want to screw up my last year just because I couldn’t put my phone down. But I feel stuck, like I physically can’t stop.

Has anyone else been through something like this? How do you break out of it?

What are you doing on here mainly? Lurking? Arguing etc
I had this issue in uni (though not 15 hours bad lol) where I first found it and was just obsessed with arguing with Fags on here
Now I try to only come on here max twice a week. Tbh site blockers don’t work bevause I just find a way around jt, I guess do you have zero interaction outside from here?

I'm also kinda addicted to 4chan, and I work from home. It was killing my productivity, but I have a tactic now that works for me.

Work 45 minutes, take a 5 minute break to get up, get some air and then I have 10 minutes for online shit (mostly browsing 4chan). I have an app that has an alarm setup for these purposes and I never go over those times.

I make sure to never write a reply to a thread when those 10 minutes are coming to an end, so I don't feel the obligation to finish my post after the 10 minutes.

I recommend you try something like this to study.

Jesus Christ 14h? I think my max is like 2-3 hours on here, after a while there's nothing to do. What do you even do on here for that long? Porn addicted?

I basically spend the entire day posting baits on /pol/, /v/, /tv/, etc. and arguing with people
There's something about having people replying to your thread that's very addicting
